Hadzabe Tribe
The Hadzabe are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa, living near Lake Eyasi in northern Tanzania. With a lifestyle that has remained largely unchanged for thousands of years, the Hadzabe rely on hunting with bows and arrows and foraging for wild fruits and honey. Visiting the Hadzabe offers a rare glimpse into their traditional way of life, from hunting demonstrations to learning their unique click-based language.
Datoga Tribe
The Datoga are a semi-nomadic pastoralist tribe, also residing near Lake Eyasi. Known for their traditional blacksmithing skills, they craft tools, arrows, and jewelry from recycled metal, which they trade with the Hadzabe. A visit to the Datoga provides an authentic cultural experience, where travelers can witness their metalworking, explore their homesteads, and learn about their rich heritage.
