Day 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Depart from Arusha in the morning for a scenic journey to Tarangire National Park, where adventure awaits. Enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, followed by a delightful lunch at the lodge. Spanning an impressive 2,600 km², this park boasts a captivating landscape of vast open plains, adorned with iconic baobab trees. Situated approximately 120 km south of Arusha, Tarangire is renowned for its thriving lion populations and large herds of buffalo. Often considered one of Africa’s hidden gems, the park offers a peaceful escape into unspoiled nature.

As the day winds down, return to the inviting Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge for a relaxing dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, where every turn reveals new wonders. The park’s vast plains come alive with herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and elephants, alongside graceful Maasai giraffes and the striking fringe-eared oryx. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and elusive leopards add a thrilling edge to the experience. Bird lovers will delight in spotting rare species, including the ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver, and black-collared lovebird.

Pause midday to enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge, then relax briefly before heading out for an afternoon game drive. As the sun sets, return to Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

 

Day 3

Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch and set off on a scenic journey toward the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an exhilarating afternoon game drive across this world-renowned landscape, home to the spectacular Great Migration, where over two million wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move in a timeless rhythm across the savannah. The Serengeti also offers exceptional wildlife viewing, including sightings of the iconic Big Five. As the sun sets over the endless horizon, head to Kon Tiki Central Serengeti Camp for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

 

Day 4

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, set out for an exciting morning and afternoon game drive through the legendary Serengeti National Park, home to breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Alternatively, choose a full-day adventure with a scenic picnic lunch in the heart of the wild. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind with a comfortable overnight stay at the welcoming Kon Tiki Central Serengeti Camp.

 

Day 5

Serengeti National Park

After a delicious breakfast, set off for an unforgettable morning and afternoon game drive in the world-famous Serengeti National Park, a vast wilderness celebrated for its endless golden plains, dramatic skies, and extraordinary wildlife diversity. Alternatively, enjoy a full-day adventure with a picnic lunch while exploring its rich ecosystems and abundant animal life, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and vast herds of migrating wildebeest.

In the evening, return to the comfort of Kon Tiki Central Serengeti Camp for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

 

Day 6

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a delicious breakfast, collect your packed lunch and set off on a morning game drive across the vast, iconic plains of the Serengeti. This unforgettable journey offers a chance to witness immense herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles moving freely across the savannah, as well as possible sightings of a pride of lions resting beneath the acacia trees.

In the afternoon, continue with a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, taking in the changing landscapes along the way.

End your day with a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp, surrounded by the cool highland air.

 

Day 7

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, embark on a morning crater tour with a picnic lunch. Descend 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a vast 304-square-kilometer caldera formed millions of years ago following the collapse of a volcano once believed to be taller than Mount Kilimanjaro. This remarkable natural wonder is one of Tanzania’s premier wildlife viewing destinations.

Explore its diverse habitats, from lush forests home to elephants and monkeys, to soda lakes where flamingos gather, and open savannahs where lions roam and hunt. With over 25,000 large mammals living within the crater, you may encounter the Big Five alongside wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, and more. Bird enthusiasts can also enjoy over 500 recorded species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending and continuing to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

 

Day 8

Ngorongoro – Arusha

After breakfast, depart for a scenic drive back to Arusha. En-route, you may choose to visit Mto wa Mbu or a traditional Maasai Village for a cultural experience (optional and at an additional cost). Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight.
