Experience Tanzania’s best natural wonders in just three days.

Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Embark on an exciting morning drive from Arusha to the beautiful Tarangire National Park, about 120 kilometers south of the city. On arrival, enjoy a thrilling game drive through this scenic park, enjoy a picnic lunch while surrounded by nature.

Covering 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire features vast open plains dotted with iconic baobab trees. It is famous for its large elephant herds and frequent lion sightings, making it one of Africa’s hidden gems and ideal for an authentic wilderness experience away from crowds.

The park hosts diverse wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, Maasai giraffes, and fringe-eared oryx. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam the plains, while birdwatchers can spot species like the ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver, and black-collared lovebird.

In the afternoon, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge, where you can relax after a rewarding day in the wild.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, stop briefly at a scenic viewpoint for panoramic views of the crater floor before descending 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) into this ancient caldera. Covering 304 square kilometers, the crater formed 2–3 million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption and is now one of Tanzania’s top wildlife viewing destinations.

Explore diverse habitats, from lush forests with monkeys and elephants to lake areas where flamingos gather, and open savannah where lions hunt. The caldera is home to about 25,000 large mammals, offering excellent chances to see the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—along with wildebeest, gazelles, reedbuck, bushbuck, hartebeest, hippos, antelopes, and more. Over 500 bird species also inhabit the area, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

After a full day of exploration, enjoy dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch and depart for Lake Manyara National Park.

On arrival, enjoy a game drive through this small but diverse park. Covering 325 km², Lake Manyara features a mix of Rift Valley lake, lush woodlands, and dramatic escarpments. It is famous for its rich birdlife, with over 380 species including waterfowl and migratory birds. The dense forests offer some of the best chances to spot elusive leopards, while lions are often seen hunting along the lakeshore.

Many travelers include Lake Manyara as part of a circuit with the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro Crater, making it a key stop on Tanzania’s safari route.

After lunch, return to Arusha, arriving at your hotel around 17:00 hours.
