Day 1
Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
Embark on a scenic morning drive from Arusha to the breathtaking Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive through this compact yet remarkably diverse park, followed by a relaxing picnic lunch surrounded by natural beauty.
Covering 325 km², Lake Manyara showcases a striking mix of Rift Valley lakes, lush groundwater forests, open woodlands, and dramatic escarpments. It is a paradise for bird lovers, hosting over 380 species, including flamingos, pelicans, and numerous migratory birds. The forests offer excellent chances to spot elusive leopards, while lions are often seen roaming the grassy lakeshore. Many visitors combine this experience with the iconic Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro parks. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Lodge.
Day 2
Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch and set off on a scenic journey to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive across its vast, golden savannahs, home to one of nature’s greatest spectacles—the Great Migration. Each year, over two million wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move across the plains in search of fresh grazing, creating breathtaking wildlife scenes.
The Serengeti is also famous for its exceptional biodiversity, including the iconic Big Five and countless other species thriving in its rich ecosystem. As the day comes to an end, enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind with a comfortable overnight stay at Kon Tiki Central Serengeti Camp.
Day 3
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, set out for an unforgettable wildlife experience in the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Enjoy thrilling morning and afternoon game drives across its endless golden plains, or choose a full-day safari adventure with a scenic picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness.
The Serengeti is renowned for its vast savannahs, dramatic skies, and extraordinary wildlife, including the iconic Big Five and the spectacular Great Migration of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes. In the evening, return to camp for a delicious dinner and unwind with an overnight stay at the comfortable Kon Tiki Central Serengeti Camp.
Day 4
Serengeti – Ngorongoro
After a delicious breakfast, collect your packed lunch and set off for an unforgettable morning game drive across the vast, iconic plains of the Serengeti. Watch in awe as great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles roam freely across the savannah, with a chance to spot lions hunting or resting in the shade of acacia trees.
In the afternoon, continue your journey with a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying stunning landscapes along the way. End your day with a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp.
Day 5
Ngorongoro – Tarangire
After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable Ngorongoro Crater tour with a packed picnic lunch. Descend over 2,000 feet (600+ meters) into the breathtaking crater floor, a vast 304-square-kilometer caldera formed millions of years ago after a massive volcanic eruption—once believed to be higher than Mount Kilimanjaro. This remarkable ecosystem offers some of the finest wildlife viewing in Tanzania.
Explore a rich variety of habitats, from lush forests inhabited by elephants and monkeys to serene soda lakes where flamingos gather, and expansive savannahs where lions roam and hunt. The crater is home to over 25,000 large mammals, giving you an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five, along with wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, hippos, and many antelope species.
Bird lovers can also enjoy sightings of over 500 recorded bird species. After your picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue your journey with an afternoon drive to Tarangire National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge.
Day 6
Tarangire – Arusha
After breakfast, set out for an unforgettable morning game drive in Tarangire National Park with a packed picnic lunch. Covering an impressive 2,600 km², Tarangire is famous for its sweeping savannahs, ancient baobab trees, and rich wildlife diversity. Located about 120 km south of Arusha, the park is often regarded as one of Tanzania’s hidden gems, offering a peaceful and uncrowded safari experience.
The park is especially known for its large elephant herds and strong lion populations, alongside buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, Maasai giraffes, and fringe-eared oryx. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards add excitement to every game drive. Bird enthusiasts will also be delighted by sightings of over 500 species, including rare endemics like the ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver, and black-collared lovebird.
After a rewarding morning of wildlife viewing, enjoy your picnic lunch at a scenic site inside the park. In the afternoon, begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving at your hotel around 17:00hrs.
