07:00hrs: Depart from your hotel in Arusha City Centre for a scenic drive to Arusha National Park, followed by a game drive and picnic lunch.
Covering 137 km², the park features diverse landscapes, from open savannah and acacia scrublands to lush Afro-montane forests and alpine vegetation similar to Mount Kilimanjaro. It includes alkaline lakes and the striking Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife highlights include elephants, buffalo, giraffes, primates, and occasional leopards.
Guided walking safaris are available with an armed ranger, and Mount Meru (4,566 m), Africa’s fifth-highest peak, offers a rewarding climb within the park.
Late afternoon: Return to Arusha, arriving at your hotel around 17:00 hrs.
