Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport

Upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to Arusha town. The town is known as a hub for tourism activities to all northern Tanzania National park including the highest peak of Kilimanjaro.

Overnight at Four point by Sheraton Hotel. BB

Day 2 – Breakfast at Four point by Sheraton

Depart and drive through to Arusha town, Town tour en-route and Cultural heritage center tour, Local lunch at Babu’s and then drive to Osopuko tented lodge which is situated along the cliff of the Tarangire river, view with animals around.

Day 3 – Tarangire National Park

Morning depart to Tarangire national park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch.

Tarangire National park is the sixth largest park in Tanzania. It is located in Manyara region. Tha name of the park originate from Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire river is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire ecosystem during the annual dry season. It covers an area of approximate 2850square kilometers. The landscape is composed of granitic ridges, river valley, vegetation is a mix of acacia woodland, camniphora, combretum woodland, seasonally flooded grassland and baobab trees. The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park during June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousand Elephant, zebras, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dikdik, impala, Eland, Grant gazelle, vevety monkey, banded mangoose and alive baboon. Predictors in Tarangire includes African lions, leopard, cheetah, caracal honey badger and African wild.

Day 4 – Breakfast at Osopuko Lodge

Depart for masai village tour, and then drive to Mto wambu village for a cultural activities, wood and Makonde carvings, Local Lunch and then afternoon drive to your lodge located in karatu region.

Day 5 – Lake Eyasi 

Early morning depart with breakfast box and drive down to lake Eyasi for visit to Hadza and Datoga tribe, You may also join the Hadza on bush hunting using bow and arrow. After hunting you will also visit another tribe called Datoga(Blacksmith) and onions field. You will then drive back to your lodge for late lunch and  afternoon at leisure or walk to the coffee plantation.

Day 6 – Breakfast at Acacia farm lodge

Depart to Ngorongoro crater for a full day game drives with picnic lunch, later in the afternoon drive to Ndutu area.

The Ngorongoro crater is a world heritage site and better known as the eighth wonder of the world. It is the world largest intact volcano caldera. The 2000 feet high walls of approximate 10 miles wide crater create a natural amphitheater for densest population of large animals anywhere. The rich soil and abundant year round water provide an idea habitat for a variety of approximate 22,000 large animals. Herbivores that you will likely encounter include Elephant, black rhino, hippos, buffalo, Eland, Zebra, wildebeest, hartebeest, waterbuck, warthog, grant gazelle, giraffe, impala and top arestrangely absent from the crater floor. Primates include baboons and vevet monkey. Carnivore that you will likely encounter includes Lions, cheetah, hyena and jackal, leopard ,servals bat, eared foxes and retels are also resident within the crater but much more elusive.

Day 7 – Ndutu Area

Morning and or afternoon  game drives in Ndutu area, lunch or picnic lunch from the lodge.

Day 8 – Breakfast at Masek Tented lodge

Depart to central Serengeti, game drives enroute with your picnic lunch, Afternoon game drives in central Serengeti.

Serengeti National park is one of the largest national park in Tanzania and Africa. The great wildebeest migration is natural phenomenon determined by the availability of grazing which can be witnessed all year around between Tanzania and Kenya in east Africa. The Migration is compiled of 500000 zebras that precede 1.8millions wildebeest and the following 100000 plains game made up of Eland, Impala, Gazelle, which following the scent of rain in search for rich pastures and clean water. The short rain in Serengeti in early November so the herds of wildebeest migration start to arrive through the north of the park from maasai mara. Throughout the month they head to the short grass plains in Serengeti around the east of the park. Towards mid December the migration continue to the south of the national park to an area called Ndutu and they cross in the northern Ngorongoro conservation area. Dispersed across these plains wildebeest and zebras are everywhere feeding on the fresh, nutritious grass. Here they stay through the month of January , February and March. They then continue to the northern Serengeti where they stay between the mount of July to October. Apart from this great migration Serengeti is also very rich of all big five and others.

Day 9 –  Central Serengeti

Morning and or afternoon game drives in central Serengeti, picnic lunch or lunch from your lodge.

Day 10 – Breakfast at Kubukubu Tented lodge

Depart and drive to western Serengeti searching for migration around Grumeti river. Picnic lunch or lunch at your lodge and then proceed with afternoon game drives.

Day 11 – Western Serengeti

Morning and or afternoon game drives in western Serengeti searching for migration. Lunch or picnic lunch from you’re your camp .

Day 12 –  Breakfast at Kirawira T. Camp

Depart and drive to northern Serengeti with game drives en-route and picnic lunch. Afternoon game drives searching for great migration around mara river.

Day 13 – North Serengeti

Morning and or afternoon game drives in north Serengeti searching for great migration, picnic lunch or lunch from your lodge.

Day 14 – Breakfast at Mara mara Tented lodge

Depart while bidding farewell to Serengeti and drive to Kogatende airstrip for a scheduled flight departing at 10.30am and arrive at Arusha at 12.15hrs. Upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to Kibo Palace hotel for lunch and day room and then in the evening you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro airport for your international flight back home. End of service.
